Senior Lawyer, Distressed Assets Recovery Division – Bankruptcy Cases

  • Job responsibilities

    • Preparation and submission to the Bankruptcy Court of applications for declaring a debtor bankrupt and registering claims; review and analysis of files related to problematic bankruptcy cases, court decisions and correspondence received from the court, correspondence and other documents submitted by bankruptcy administrators, as well as correspondence and information received regarding procedural actions; representation of the Bank’s interests before the Bankruptcy Court, Civil Court of Appeal, and Court of Cassation of the Republic of Armenia, based on the legislation of the Republic of Armenia and the Bank’s internal legal acts.
    • Participation in auctions related to bankruptcy proceedings and acquisition of property; state registration of ownership rights; elimination of obstacles arising during the state registration process.
    • Review, analysis, and clarification of legal documents; preparation of proposals, legal opinions, and conclusions, including procedural documents such as responses to statements of claim, objections, legal positions, counterclaims or motions for interim measures, appeals, and other procedural actions.

  • Necessary requirements

    • Higher legal education (possession of a lawyer’s license or a bankruptcy administrator’s license will be considered an advantage)
    • At least 2 years of professional work experience in bankruptcy cases (experience working in the banking sector in the areas specified above will be considered an advantage)
    • Good knowledge of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, the Civil Code of the Republic of Armenia, the Civil Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On Bankruptcy”, the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On Public Auctions”, laws regulating banking activities, and other relevant legal acts
    • Knowledge of MS Office, Mulberry, and HԾ software
    • Excellent command of the Armenian language, both written and spoken
