Environmental and Social Risk Management Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

• • Conducting customer due diligence and Environmental Social Risk (ESR) assessment for all credit programs in accordance with international standards, including IFC Performance Standards, EBRD E&S Policy, etc.
  • Monitor ESR for medium- and high-risk borrowers.
  • Monitoring the performance of projects in high-risk sectors, carrying out a visit to borrower locations.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments of the Bank to ensure effective ESR management
  • Develop and periodically review internal legal acts related to ESR risks, ensuring alignment with current requirements
  • Organize trainings for staff involved in ESR management on methods and tools
  • Prepare reports related to the customer portfolio

Necessary requirements:

• • Higher education in environmental science, sustainable development, environmental engineering, social sciences, or related fields
  • At least 1 year of work experience in environmental and social risk management
  • Professional experience with international standards and their application in credit programs
  • Excellent knowledge of Armenian, good knowledge of Russian and English
  • Analytical thinking, high sense of responsibility, proactive and flexible approach
